Moxa leaves for cones – Mugwort harvested on June 21
Moxa for cone making, composed of whole mugwort leaves, coarsely ground and harvested at the summer solstice. Intended for direct moxa practice.
Moxa for cones made from whole mugwort leaves
This moxa for cones is made from whole mugwort leaves that are simply coarsely ground, without purification or fiber separation. This form preserves the full plant material and differs from refined moxa fiber.
The mugwort is harvested at the summer solstice (June 21), a period traditionally associated with maximum sunlight exposure and a stronger thermal potential.
Direct moxa use
This moxa is specifically intended for hand-shaped moxa cones used in direct moxa practice, often placed on natural intermediary supports such as ginger or garlic.
The presence of the full leaf components results in a more robust combustion and direct heat action, valued in certain traditional moxibustion techniques.
No paper
This moxa contains no paper or binders. Combustion relies solely on the plant material, allowing precise heat control when shaping the cones.
