Small diameter superior moxa sticks made in France

Price: €16.50

Box of 18 moxa sticks, 0.9 cm in diameter and 11.5 cm long (reference: R2), made from wild common mugwort leaves hand-picked in France. Thanks to an artisanal manufacturing process, they produce a milder smoke that is generally better tolerated.

This moxa stick has the diameter of a cigarette and is intended for specific uses. It is particularly suited to warming points on the scalp or the face with more precision than the R1 moxa stick. It is also more suitable for children, for very weak people or for those with very thin skin. For standard use, or to discover moxibustion, choose the larger diameter moxa stick (reference: R1) or the starter kit that contains it.

Superior moxa sticks for the practice of moxibustion

The moxa sticks are made from Artemisia vulgaris, the very plant traditionally used for Chinese moxa. Unlike many imported products from industrial supply chains, often based on cultivated mugwort dried artificially and sometimes containing parts of the plant other than the leaves, or even additional components, our moxa is made in France from wild common mugwort leaves hand-picked in France, using artisanal methods.

This exclusive selection of the leaves and this artisanal manufacturing process place our sticks in the superior quality grade of moxa.

The ground mugwort leaves are packed into compact rolls wrapped in a single layer of very thin paper, which ensures an even, controlled burn.

The paper used for our moxa sticks comes from a French paper mill in the Alps, renowned for more than a century for its expertise in fine technical papers. It is made from selected plant fibres, in particular certified wood pulp and sustainable plant fibres, and is characterised by a low basis weight and controlled porosity, suited to a fine and regular wrapping.

Using our moxa for the first time

If you are using our moxa for the first time, we recommend the attractively priced kits offered below. They include essential accessories such as:

  • an extinguisher,
  • a moxa pipe (also called a burner),
  • an explanatory booklet detailing the techniques of use.

These accessories reduce moxa consumption while making it easier to use. The booklet explains in particular how to locate the points to be warmed, the recommended warming times and how often to use moxa depending on the issue being addressed.
