Moxa sticks for moxibustion practice

These moxa sticks are made from Artemisia vulgaris, the plant traditionally used for Chinese moxa. Unlike many imported industrial products, often made from cultivated mugwort that is artificially dried and may include other plant parts or additives, our moxa sticks are handcrafted in France using wild mugwort leaves harvested in France.

The ground mugwort leaves are rolled into compact sticks and wrapped in a single layer of very thin paper, ensuring even and controlled combustion.

The paper used for these moxa sticks is supplied by a French paper mill located in the Alps, recognized for its expertise in fine and technical papers for over a century. It is made from selected plant fibers and features low grammage and controlled porosity, suitable for precise rolling.

The paper is assembled using a food-grade adhesive applied in very small quantities. This choice ensures proper hold of the stick without altering combustion or producing unwanted odors during use.

Specific characteristics of the R2 moxa stick

This moxa stick has a diameter similar to that of a cigarette and is intended for specific applications. It is particularly suitable for heating scalp or facial acupuncture points with greater precision than the larger R1 moxa stick.

It is also more suitable for children, very weakened individuals, or people with particularly sensitive skin. For standard use or to discover moxibustion, a larger diameter moxa stick (R1) is recommended.
