Japanese moxibustion is characterised by the use of very small amounts of moxa, burned briefly. It calls for a very refined moxa that can be rolled finely between the fingers.

Our products for Japanese moxibustion

Lux Aurea golden moxa (10 g), the most refined in our range, is intended for rice-grain moxibustion, or okyu. Lux Aurora medium wool (50 g) suits cones and Ontake tubes. Our Ontake (5 cm) and Super Ontake (10 cm) tubes, made of bamboo from Occitanie treated by heat only, are sold empty. Our Shiunkō moxa paste follows the formula of the Kampo ointment, with organic shea butter in place of the traditional lard; it helps the moxa stay in place on the skin. Finally, Murasaki soft Japanese incense, made on Awaji island, allows precise lighting of cones and rice grains.

Our moxa is made in France from hand-picked wild mugwort.
