Moxa sticks

Choosing your moxa stick

The R1 moxa stick (Ø 1.5 cm, 20 cm, box of 10) is the standard size, used to warm points from a distance, either by hand or in a moxa burner. The R2 stick (Ø 0.9 cm, 11.5 cm, box of 18) is about the width of a cigarette, so it can warm points on the face or scalp with more precision. If you want to try our moxa first, the trial kit contains two R1 sticks.

Handmade in our workshop

Our sticks contain nothing but the leaves of wild common mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris), picked in France and dried naturally, then ground and rolled in a single layer of very thin paper for an even burn. Using only the leaves, and making the sticks by hand, gives a gentler smoke that is generally better tolerated than that of many imported moxa products.

To put a stick out without crushing it and use it again, use the wooden extinguisher; to carry it without damaging it, use the bamboo case.
