The iconic R1 moxa stick

The standard format for moxibustion

The R1 moxa stick is 1.5 cm in diameter and 20 cm long. Sold in boxes of 10, it is the most widely used format for warming points from a distance, by hand or with our wooden burner, designed specifically for this diameter. To try it, the trial kit contains two R1 sticks, sent at letter rate.

Handmade

The R1 contains nothing but the leaves of wild common mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris), picked in France and dried naturally, then ground and rolled in a single layer of very thin paper. Using only the leaves, and making the sticks by hand, gives an even burn and a gentler smoke that is generally better tolerated than that of many imported moxa products.

Between sessions, the wooden extinguisher puts the stick out without crushing it so it can be reused; the bamboo case protects it in transit. The R1 is also available in bundles of 5 and 10 boxes.
