Several diameters and lengths available (see below). Note, the photo shows a different product size.
This is one of the few products that we do not manufacture. Reselling is not our core business, but we want to make things easier for our customers so they can find everything they need in one place. We also chose quality: after testing many brands, we consider TEWA needles to be the best currently available on the market. They are made in China according to strict German specifications and undergo rigorous quality control: their bevel is particularly well-finished and consistent; the pain upon puncture is very low.
However, we only offer non-siliconized models for moxibustion use. Although one of the few available studies on the subject ( https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC2862940/ ) found no risk linked to the coating, the heat was applied indirectly , and the temperatures measured on the needle remained far below those observed in real conditions with moxa in direct contact. The temperature at the core of the moxa can exceed 600°C , while silicones, even the most resistant ones, begin to degrade around 500°C . It is therefore reasonable to recommend the use of non-siliconized needles for moxibustion.
